God is omniscient. When he created the universe, he saw the sufferings which humans would endure as a result of the sin of those original humans. He heard the screams of the damned. Surely he would have known that it would have been better for those humans to never have been born (in fact, the Bible says this very thing), and surely this all-compassionate deity would have foregone the creation of a universe destined to imperfection in which many of the humans were doomed to eternal suffering. A perfectly compassionate being who creates beings which he knows are doomed to suffer is impossible.

Right, so not only do they believe in an impossibility, they can't understand a question written in english either...

You presume to understand the spirit side of things...the original plan, but haven't quite "got it" all...
Yes, God is omnipotent...yes, He created the universe, and soooo much more...Yes, He knew exactly what He was doing.
First, the understanding that this Earth place is the most negatively compiled in all Creation...with great purpose...it is also the most courageous way for the spirit to have the most experiences in the shortest amount of life-time, thereby adding much to spirit knowledge & growth.
Second, YOU chose this place, this time, the situation(s) you are experiencing to accomplish the spirit growth that you planned, or charted, before coming into this life.
Third, there were no sinners of original humans--if you refer to the parable (story) of Adam & Eve...it is a story that was changed from the original text to incorporate the devil (fear) and begin the sub-species concept of women, serving an effective control need of the rulers of the time, and still to this day...nor are there "sinners" now...we are simply pure energy beings experiencing ourselves & this world, toward our planned purposes of spirit growth...no spirit is "doomed" to eternal suffering...ever! What sense would it make for an entity (of which each of us is a piece of) to banish any part of Itself forever...what kind of love would that show? What purpose would that serve either for God or His spirit child? We all go Home...there simply is no where else for us to go but to return to the Whole that is our reality.
See? Just think a little deeper, research "outside the Book", not only inside...and seek truth through that while listening for that little bell that goes off in your soul that says "Oh Yeah, now that makes sense..." and leave the rest. Good Journey!

Let's imagin a classroom... The teacher is trying to explain how to solve a mathimatical problem to the pupils, and one student raises his hand and says "Ma'am, I don't think that's how it's supposed to be solved"... What do you think the teacher'll do?? Send him out? Make him stand in the corner?? Nope.. Of course she'll hand him the chalk and allow himself to solve it the way he think's it's done... Same thing what happened a long time ago... An angel told God "Hey!! That aint how you do it man!! I'm not supposed to he here up in heaven singing songs to you and praising you!! I'd rather be down there chillin like a chinchilla and get worshiped myself!! Pffffffffttttt!!! I'm outta here!! WHose with meeehh?!"... And then they got kicked outta heaven and are chillin like chinchillas here on earth!!
God's original purpose for the world was it to be a paradise... Do you think he'll give that plan up juts cuz people are bad and worshipping false relegions...?

WRONG, it is human will that makes some humans doomed to suffer eternally. He made made man, Adam and Eve with free-will, told them of the forbidden fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, told them not to eat of the fruit, warned them that the penalty is death (not immediate, but eternal). They ate of the tree anyway, so THIS ONE ACT brought sin into the world. Without freewill, we would either be like robots programed or slaves forced to serve God, no other choice. Or the other option would be as you stated not to have created humankind. In my opinion, I'm glad he created humans, I'm glad Eve disobeyed God and ate the forbidden fruit and persueded Adam to do the same, I"M GLAD WE ALL HAVE FREEWILL. He want's no one to suffer eternal danmation, he wants everyone to accept him as their savior and go to Heaven, but, it's your choice not to accept that HE CREATED YOU, and as punishment, since he created you he has a right to punish you, your punishment is eternal damnation.

You have left someone VERY important out though. Jesus Christ. He saves us from our sins, so we won't have to go to hell. Hell was originally designed for Satan, and it breaks God's heart when he has to send humans there.
God is compassionate. He sent his one and only Son to die for your sins. But God also gave us the ability of free will. It is up to us whether or not we should accept Him.
Your question shouldn't be "Why did God do this?" It should be "Why did man do this?" Man sinned in the Garden of Eden, not God. This world is our punishment. But heaven is our reward if we chose to accept and follow Jesus Christ.

Of course it's nonsensical to suppose that a perfect god would have created something less perfect than himself. Nevertheless, that's exactly what the godidiots choose to believe. Gofigger.

He also knew that the day would come when mankind would realize its arrogance and turn back to him, instead of demanding self rule. When that day comes, than during a 1000 years, we will turn this earth back into a paradise, and than move onto the other planets of the universe. Currently, humans think they can do as well or better than God in governing themselves.

There is no true compassion in the xtian god. He is a selfish bully who wanted worshippers. Ego maniac? Maybe that is why his followers need to right and recognized too.

Usually when I see someone putting great effort into ranting against God it's because they are fighting God's call to them.
Please read about Saul later known as Paul.

For life is a perfect circle consisting of two sides, God knows what he doesn't. Therefore the only imperfection God knows is perfection. Thus, never knowing which, for God is all-knowing.

same reason why adults bring children into the world, knowing that one day they will disobey them, and that one day they will suffer heart break and cry their eyes out, and knowing that they will have to deal with peer pressure everyday in school and do things they shouldn't do, having a conflict between life at home and life in school, and that one day they will be old and not too mobile, and have the fear of dieing in their hearts
