Mist it lightly, then seal it in a zip lock plastic bag and leave it for a couple of days. Preferably in the fruit section of your refrigerator. That way the moisture spreads throughout the cigar. If it's in a plastic zip lock it won't make the fruit taste funny. But if you're smoking cigars, you might not mind that anyway!
Just remembered -- the other way to do it is to put a couple of slices of apple in the bag instead of misting it. I used to keep a slice of apple in the can of tobacco to keep it moist and it works better than misting because it adds that apple fragrance.

i dont really know for certain but maybe nuke some water in the microwave and then toss in the cigars when it stops and is full of steam.

a small piece of celery works in a zip lock in your crisper for a couple of days, it won't add flavor.
