It sounds as though you have a mild allergy to alcohol. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Depends on how much you like to drink. There is no cure for allergies. You'll just have to live with it, and govern yourself accordingly.

At first I thought you might have an allergy to sulfates because when I drink certain wines my face turns red, but if it is all alcohol then there might be a reaction to the alcohol itself

It's what the alcohol does to your blood vessels that causes this. The cure is to not drink alcoholic beverages.

You really need to read "Rosacea Free Forever" by Laura Taylor (also available in electronic format here: http://www.rosaceafreeforever.info ). It's about how to permanently cure your Rosacea naturally. I cured my Rosacea permanently in only 4 days after reading this.
Stop paying paying each month good money on creams. This is exactly what the pharmaceutical industry wants you to do! They want to milk money from you each month.

You may also have rosacea. Alcohol is frequently a trigger for a rosecea flare up.
