Mary of Magdalen is a woman with a frill of conspiracy eveloping her entierly. She is believed to be of Egyptian blood, with desendece of holly blood. She is believed to be a intelectual of her kind and time, being capaple to mainaint stimulating conversations with Jesus, and his disciples. Some even believed that she is Jesus Christ's beloved disciples, who he felt she was the one to contiues his teachings. Some believe that she was Jesus's lover, companion, and wife, even bearing his child, the sang-royal, the blood line of the Jesus. This is all denouced as speculation by the Catholic Church, because the Catholic church was responsible to tarnishing her name, and trying to exterminate her testimates (and others who mentioned the relationship she shared with Jesus) - in which her testaments were buried in the deserst in clay vases, to save them from the Catholic Church. The Catholic Churh is scared and intimitated by women and finds it nessicary to put them lower than man, as its stated in the bible, See 1 Corithinthians 11:2. Mary of Magdaline is a key person in reforming religion to todays society and even possibly the love of Jesus Christ, a woman like that should be respected, the church would have you think other wise, because then it would show that what they have been preaching and teaching people is not all true, diven by greed, sexism and coruption......

The DaVinci code, is a literary work of fiction, that, as most fictional works do, incorporated truth from the bible with a made up tale. Some of the lies that it tells are that Jesus, the Word of God made flesh, and the only begotten son of God, was married and fathered a child with Mary Magdala, and it was a girl named Sarah, and the descendants are still around today. Yeah right. The movie dogma tried to speak of sions also, but there was more truth with hints of a secret society in the code. I guess there are believers in this type of dogma, and they would be the only secret society to speak of.
You will not find Dan Brown on any talk show to speak on this revelation, because he knows that it is fiction. If you get the book from the library, it is listed in the fiction section.
The only controversy is just another way to shake a believer's faith. The devil once again, is quite busy.
I find it unbelievable that people will believe anything that someone tells them, without trying to find the truth for themselves.
What a gullable lot humans be.

You're getting tons of bs here. Wow. Facts now. She was a follower of Jesus, close to a disciple. She was not a prostitute, an early pope started that to keep the role of women in the church down. He had the priests teach that the prostitute that washed Jesus' feet with her hair was Mary, but if you read the bible, you realize that's just not true. Of course, back then, most people couldn't read, so they couldn't refute it. She was not the wife of Jesus, nor the lover, but a follower. The DiVinci Code book created a story about her and Jesus having a child, a fictional book by the way, which a lot of christians had hissy fits about. That's it. She was a very important part of His ministry, and I believe she continued it after His death, just like the other disciples and His followers, which is how christianity started. She was one of the women who found the cave empty, and He appeared to her, which in my opinion, makes her pretty special. All the other bull is just that, bull.

Whether or not she had a relationship with Jesus, as His wife or as a devout disciple, she was a woman who had much influence on His life.
The early male politico-religious leaders could not allow this influence to impact their patriarchal agenda to suppress the role of women in society and rule the masses through fear-based living.
It is speculated that there was a gospel of Mary Magdalene as well as one of Judas of Iscariot, detailing the story of Jesus from their perspectives, which were just a couple of the gospels among many excluded from the bible, which did not support the agenda of these "leaders".

The controversy arose when one sect (under Pope Constantine's rule) decided that Mary Magdalene was a harlot, when in fact she was of prominent decent...but having a powerful woman behind Jesus did not substantiate the need for the sub-species concept of women at the time.
She was in fact, one of the first & most loyal apostles through Jesus' lifetime...she travelled with him, as did his mother, Mary, and took care of him, as he did them...they were much in love, and eventually married & moved to France shortly after his survival of the crucifixtion, and had three children...there is lineage to he & Mary in existence today, but this is a well guarded secret to protect those families & their futures.

Traditional Catholic teachings say that she was a prostitute ... some scholars believe this is not true and that the church made this up to put her in bad light because the actual nature of her relationship with Jesus was contradictory to the image of Jesus the church wanted to project.

The theory is that there is evidence (both in the Bible and Gnostic gospels) that Mary Magdalene was Jesus' wife and bore his children. As this directly contradicts mainstream Christian teachings, it's highly controversial.

They say it is because of the book '' The DiVinci Code''. But, this story has been around for a long time. And, who knows-----------it might be true.
But, it just gives something for people to chat and argue about.

Some people think that Mary Magdeline and Jesus Christ had a sexual relationship, such as marriage or something. Catholics believe that she was just one of Christs devout followers and good friends.
