The reason that I asked is some PG-13 movies are raciser than R rated movies because of the sexual content or adult content and use of rough cursing words that could be use in R rated movies.
Please help me.

Everything you view, including daily life should be viewed with a grain of salt. You have to decide if it is the right thing to view or not. Not all rated "R" movies are bad...at least i don't think so.
Watching movies over PG doesn't make you a bad Christian. You have to live the right life...whatever roads God have chosen to get you to Heaven. Take those roads.

Rather than focus on the content in the movie that causes the particular rating, you should try and select movies that have worthwhile content (great characters, visual effects, or other aesthetically pleasing items) or tell a fantastic story. These are the gifts that God gives so appreciate them rather than getting hung up on the bad.

During Jesus' time on earth did he avoid any contact with inappropriate content as if by avoiding it, he would become more holy?

I suppose if you are really hung up on the sex and violence, then that is all you will see. However, if you tune into the other stuff, the garbage won't trip you up.

Let God's spirit guide you. It sure does me. When I'm watching something on TV I probably shouldn't, there is no guessing at all involved; God's spirit convicts me right then. Do I always turn it off? No, but I should.

By the way, word to the wise: when something goes in through your eyes, it sort of imprints itself on your mind. I remember a movie I saw almost 40 years ago, before I was a Christian. It was a perverted movie. I can still "see" some of those scenes from time to time. Be careful.

PG-13 does not mean that the movie is suitable for 13 year olds. Its just a way MP industry manipulates audiences.
Frankly, if you are a Christian or trying to be one-there is no age you can attain that makes it acceptable to sin.
You can visit www.preview.gospelcom.net to check out new movies, and get a real review from a Christian perspective.

As a christian myself. I just censor mainly Rated R movies and up. I do watch some PG-13 movies but not all of them. And there is even some G movies I do not like to watch. Its all between you and God and what you feel is right or wrong.

I'd definitely suggest steering clear of PG-13 movies if you're trying to be a good christian. Since The Bible is against premarital sex and using the lord's name in vain, and both of these are very prevalent in PG-13 movies, I'd stick with PG or G movies if I were you.

This is really simple. You have a code of conduct that you are trying to follow. If you take it to its ultimate extreme, then anything produced by the media should automatically be rejected because it is all lies, half-truths or manipulation. You should know this anyway.
If you want to live in the world, and be part of it, then movies should just be watched. If you know it is inappropriate to your belief (and make sure u know what u believe, not what someone else is telling you to believe), then dont watch it. If it upsets you half way thru, walk out. If its a bit racy, but inoffensive, then chill out.

If watching PG-13 (or higher) movies affect your spirituality, then you should not watch them. As long as you are not breaking God's laws that are set forth in the Bible, you are fine; however, if you begin to feel guilty about watching these movies or you begin to feel temptations, then you should not watch them.

I try to avoid almost all the movies, There is not a lot of good in any of them.

I was always told when trying to decide if I should do something to: Ask myself would I be compfortable doing this if Jesus was my companion?
