I recently purchased a wide format 20.1 inch LCD monitor. It has D-sub analog and DVI inputs but does not have an S-video input. I would like to hook it up to my home theater receiver wich has S-video, YPbPr and composite outputs. Is there an easy way to make the monitor work with either the S-video or the YPbPr outputs?
I certainly don't want to use the composite video output because of its poor quality. Im willing to spend some time and effort if the solution is not so complicated. But I can always return it, or use it as another computer monitor. Any comments our solutions?

You say you have an LCD "monitor". If it is a computer monitor (which is what it appears to be) it will not have component inputs but an RGB input (SVGA). Many TV tuners have VGA outputs and that is what you should use. If you do not have a VGA output from your home theater, it is possible to get a converter from component to RGB (VGA), but they are expensive. DVI and HDMI are similar and it is possible to find adapters for that, but you did not mention HDMI as one of the available outputs from your home theater. If that is the case, a component to RGB converter is your only option. These are not cheap; here is an example: http://www.smarthome.com/777062a.html
