I varies on different airlines, from $52-$80...Continental Airlines is the safest fot the pet, if it is too big for carry-on..Carry ion requires it fit in a 13 inch kennel, so it can go under the seat.

To answer this question, we will need a lot more info.
How much does the pet weigh (accurate, not a guess)?
What breed is the dog?
How old is the dog?
Where will the flight leave from (town & airport)?
Will there be any in flight stops, or is it 1-way?
Which airline do you plan to use?
Where are you going?
Are you and the dog going from and to the same location?
What month do you intend to fly?
You will need to have a vet health certificate (dated within 10 days of flight) and the dog must be up to date on all shots and have a current rabies (rabies within 1 year)
I know this seems like a lot of questions, but I have to know all this to give you an accurate answer.

I flew once with my small dog and I will never do it again. He had to travel in the cargo area and even though the vet prescribed a sedative it did not stop him from getting sick in his travel kennel. I paid $250.00 round trip for him and I felt so bad that he was so sick and dirty after the flight.

it varies from airline to airline. The consumer report has the latest figures and which ones have the highest death rate for dogs. You can see this magazine at the library or news stands

It depends on the airline. Be advised though, some airlines do not let dogs on the airline - in less they are seeing eye dogs.

All depends on how much your dog weighs and how big of a carrier you have him in. Also depends on where you send or where you and your dog is going.
