hi there, yes they can, i don't use one hunting as i have my area staked out with pins of different colors for different ranges. it would be just one more piece of equipment to make noise or be seen as movement when using , but i use one on the 3d range and it works perfectly.keeper in the 10 ring , good hunting

The strains on the type finder reticle are based on the assumed top of a flagstick so except you're searching 5 to six foot tall coyotes or have a typical reference factor the scope will no longer be precise

Yes, they'll work just fine. I think most of them are of the split image variety but they will work. They may not be as accurate as one of the Lazar distance finders but for all practical purposes they will work.

Absolutely, and they're a lot less expensive than a bushnell rangefinder or similar.Same thing, different name.

Yes, but you're going to have to get really-really close to kill anything with one...Maybe attach a string to give yourself a little more range...I'm kidding! :)<
