put him on a leash and take him for a walk. Some dogs are a little lazy but they still need exercise. m

If he/she used to be active and now is lazy, there are several probablities. One is its age, is your dog no longer a puppy? My dog used to be energetic--wanting to play all the time--but after she turned 3, she became quiet and laid back. Another reason could be, as already stated, weather conditions. If it is hot, your dog isn't going to want to move, if it is really cold, your dog is going to want to curl up in a blanket. A third reason is heath problems, not being a vet, I can't really help you there. Still another could be your dog's breed, some are more laid back than others.
Next time you post a question, give more details!

Thats hard to answer without more information. Dogs are generally nocturnal , especially in the hot weather, so they lay around trying to stay cool. If they are older, they just want more sleep. If this is new behaviour and it is not hot or they have not been exceptionally active, check to see if their nose is warm & dry. If it is, they're probably feeling a bit under the weather is all.
Mine has a bit of a sensative stomach sometimes and he gets less active when not feeling well. If you see them eating grass, thats a sure sign of tummy trouble. :)

Make your dog work for food, take him on a walk then give him food, this is how it was before we took them in as pets, the had to catch/work for there food in the wild so simulate that!
