I only use the thumbs up, I believe in positive reinforcement.

You answered a question, with judgment on me. Without realizing the person you answered wanted to lead people to Christ(are you for real), does the will of God, prays for the sick, feeds the homeless, wants to buy houses for the homeless to get them off the street giving them a chance to get a job and teach them financial planning,Is a dance team leader for Christ to modern hip hop/contemporary music, and everyday builds a relationship with the Lord. I was not judging you or anyone else. I am not the one who hurt you. I just asked the questions so others could see where they are in their walk and I could pray for them. I'm learning that people are different and have different walks of life. not everyone is out to judge, they may have been sent by God to pray you through something. I will pray God opens the doorways for you in the ministry He has called you to. May God truly bless you.

Er, try that again, in English?

If people ask questions, I expect that it is because they want honest answers. If Yahoo gives us the chance to rate answers, I expect that it is because it wants our opinion on those answers. "Biblical help" is generally, in my opinion, not "help" at all, and therefore I tend to give it thumbs-down.

Sometimes I do give a thumbs-up to people giving religious (/Biblical) answers, if they give good, adult responses in the midst of a bunch of childish ones (from either believers OR nonbelievers). I believe in encouraging adult behavior here. But in general the religiously-based answers are simply wrong, and so I give them a thumbs-down. If you want a place where religious answers are exempted from criticism, you probably should find a specifically religious site.

I don't know. It irritates me sometimes though. I get at least one thumbs down on anything I say. Why? Because some people on the other side of the fence don't like me. But, it's not that big of a deal.

Ratings are totally irrelevant.

They are similar to a ball of twine to a cat. They give people something to do without letting them cause any damage.

Ratings have no effect on anything, one way or another.

In response to previous remark about points, Y!A no longer gives points for rating answers.

Could be. Sometimes I think I get thumbs down because of my name and avatar. Probably just my imagination, though.
