Slush Puppie is a non-alcoholic slush drink marketed by Cadbury-Schweppes in over 50 countries, and through its Dr Pepper/Seven Up division in the U.S., Slush Puppie was acquired by The Icee Company on May 30, 2006.

A Slush Puppie has two major components; the base and the flavoring. The base is made from a special syrup that is mixed with water and then frozen. This creates a mixture resulting in little bits of ice in a sweet liquid. The taste is simply that of the flavored syrup. Flavors include grape, cherry, watermelon, lemon-lime, strawberry, strawberry kiwi, strawberry banana, blue raspberry, Piña Colada, cotton candy, bubble gum, shocker (a sour flavor), tropical bahama mama, cherry cola, and orange frenzy. Three new flavor have been recently added: mixed berry, sour apple, and sour lemon. Many other flavors are often made by mixing two or more different flavors. Some people get a Slush Puppie with no flavoring. There are some slang terms for this, but there is no official name.

Most of these flavors are also available as flavored base. Instead of requiring the "base" commonly referred to as neutral base(no flavor) these bases require only water to be frozen and made into a slushie.

Slush Puppies are usually available at gas stations, corner stores or cinemas.

Their slushy, but they are not puppies. Think of them as frozen sugar.
