Christians are letting their children rain on Halloween?!? OH NO!! So THAT'S why it's always wet when we go out trick or treating!!! ;-)
Halloween is no more evil than Christmas... unless you're in retail and you don't have good shoes. It has roots in paganism, so that scares off the Christians who think of paganism as satan worship, which couldn't POSSIBLY be more wrong. Then again, those wacky Christians have weird ideas about anything fun.

I didn't know that Halloween is a celebration of Evil. I believe it is Hallowed Eve, the night before All Saints Day, when the souls pass from Purgatory to Heaven. Or something ...
I guess you can call it Satan's Day if you want but, what is the point of going after Christians in this way? I am not a Christian and I see no reason to make up silly biases.

Halloween is not nor has it ever been an evil holiday. Originally it was a holiday celebrating the end of the harvest and the time to honor one's ancestors who had passed on before and was celebrated in various pagan cultures in the past. The Celts called it Samhain, the Norse called it Winternight, and the Spanish called it the Day of the Dead. The last of the harvest was gathered and burned as offerings to the spirits of loved ones who had passed on. The spirits were celebrated with festivals, feasts, dancing, and joy. Later on the Catholic church adopted it and renamed it the Feast of All Saints to celebrate the Saints who had been martyred in the name of Christianity.
Today some Neopagan traditions like Wicca and Asatru have taken it back as a holiday to celebrate and give offerings to the spirits of our ancestors and dead loved ones. But most of all it's just become a holiday for fun. People don't celebrate demons. Halloween has nothing to do with demons or Satan. It's a holiday to dress up, be silly, and stuff yourself sick with candy. But it is in no way an "evil" holiday.

There's nothing wrong with celebrating Halloween. My church has an annual Halloween carnival, and it's a good fundraiser for charity.
Chuckling at your use of "precipitate". You're clearly not a native speaker of English, or you'd be able to easily distinguish the difference between "precipitate" and "participate".
It's not Satan's Day. Let me guess: you're a Fundamentalist. Well, there's a big world out there. Stop being afraid of every little thing and get on with your life.

Most Christians don't celebrate halloween. I don't. Those that do don't take it seriously at all, and are not celebrating evil, obviously, but are letting their kids have some fun with their friends. Good, old-fashioned, harmless fun. Probably builds community amongst the neighbourhood kids, which is a good thing. Certainly not a celebration of evil.

Halloween isn't necessarily a celebration of evil, it's just what (unfortunately) a lot of people have made it to be. I'm a Christian & I don't see anything wrong w/letting children participate in the festivities as long as they are monitered & are safe. I know of many churches & Christian ministries that hold festivites around the Halloween season so children CAN participate in something during that time of year.
I would encourage you to do some more research on that particular holiday, it might not be as "evil" as you've come to believe.
It's only what you make it to be.

Some Christians do chose to skip Halloween. I agree that there are many aspects of Halloween that are unbecoming for a Christian (glorification of evil, death, etc). However, I also believe that a Christian can participate in their own way (just like the Apostle Paul's instructions on eating meat that had been sacrificed to idols). It would be great if the event could be "redeemed" by Christians to celebrate life and the fall harvest. Turn it into something positive....

Halloween has never been a celebration of evil.
The holiday called All Hallows Eve was the night that some people believed that spirits could cross from the spirit world to the real world. Now, noone wants to be bothered by some spirit, plus they are scary. So, the people started to come up with ways to scare the spirits away. They would carve scary faces in gourds, dress up in scary clothes, etc. All this was done to protect themselves from the spirits, not as part of some evil ritual.

Halloween is not a celebration of evil its a similar holiday to De los Muertos (or Day of the Dead) celebrated by mexicans and other spanish speaking countries
its a holiday were you visit youre loved ones who have passed on and then the spirits rise up and everyone celebrates the reunion with food and candies
Holloween is not really religious but an American version of the day of the dead...so why hold a grudge to a day of the year with FUN FUN FUN in it? you only live once

Christmas is a pegan holiday as well, yet ALL christians celebrate that. A holiday is only what you make it. Christmas and Easter are the two bigest holiday for christians, yet both have their origins in pegan holidays, does that make any one that celebrated them any less christian? No. Halloween can just be a fun day for family and friends to have lots of friends.
