No big cities because you can see bright lights and glitz in almost any big city in the world. What you SHOULD visit are the places that are considered among the 7 wonders of the world -- the Grand Canyon in Arizona and Niagara Falls in New York State. They're awesome and memorable and will take your breath away -- you'll NEVER forget them in your lifetime!

Either Washington D.C or soak it in the sun in California, or have some serious fun and visit Orlando, Florida for really fun rides at Disney World.

Narrow down what you're looking for and ask again. Scenic beauty and wilderness? Art museums? Shopping? Swimming at an ocean beach? Historical sites?

Tell us what you want to do, and we'll tell you good places to do it. Tell us where you plan on going and how much free time you have, and we'll give you ideas for places you can reach from there in the time you have.

New York City definitely, otherwise Miami is supposed to be very exciting and there are beaches and lots of clubs.

if you want to stick only east coast (shorter flight from UK), then D.C., New York City, and Boston are worth seeing (they have the benefit of being close together and accessible by car/plane/train).

if you want to get more tropical, try miami or los angeles.

if you want to branch further out (to that big chunk of America in the middle), then you could try St. Louis, San Antonio, Denver, or Chicago.

Las Vegas - the party never stops and there is something for everyone. It's my most favorite place in the US. I'm an ex-Brit.
