I always find my hair shedding during the summer and it stops in the fall. Is this normal? It happens every year but everytime it happens i freak. Does this happen to anyone else?

Yes - hair grows in phases. This is perfectly normal. It's great that you know your hair growth cycle.

The average person loses 20-50 hairs a day off their head, but since they are always growing back, we rarely notice. Normal, but if you swim a lot the pool chems might be damaging you hair more than normal.

It is somewhat normal. But if you continue to shed hair, it may be a sign of stress.

it happens to my mom. she is always shedding huge clumps of hair everyday especially when she Combs it and she still has thick hair and it's been shedding for years so don't worry it's normal

Eiiy - be calm Ana-saan.
Natural hair "loss" is nothing to get upset about, as it is NATURAL to lose some hair.
I, also notice that my brush is usually "fuller" of hair when I brush it during the spring seasons.
I bet that a COSMETOLOGIST who actually KNOWS you & your family(?) history can give you a more accurate opinion.
So long as your (noticed) hair loss is basically only SEASONAL, you should have no worries about alopecia (hair loss.)

yes it is normal and sometimes you "shed" more a certain time of year, but your supposed to lose hair everyday.

its normal! because every strand of hair is dead cells and sometimes when healthier hair grows in the old grows out. but if this ever happens continuisly, then you should see your hair person and get shampoos and conditoners with vitamins.

yes, you shed hair when you are under a lot of stress or if you are wearing your hair in a ponytail too tight

Thats very normal your suppose to shed.It happens to everyone I know including myself
