Sorry, but your wrong here, because the real problem is that yes indeed, China is not as powerfull as the USA, but it's over 3/4 of the USA's military power...and for a nation that is continuing to expand, any nation that has the power to opose them in case they shall start a confruntation, this is a threat and what they are doing know is trying to convince the people of this World that China is tha "bad nation" and the USA is the " good nation". In other words China is becoming more of a new USSR, which is actually a good thing because this will create a balance!!!

Please American patriot. Im 13 and I know that China has
a lot of things up their sleeves. Its not just man power
they have but much more. True they may not have stealth technology but they have missiles to take out stealth technology.
Check this out [http://www.globalfirepower.com]
Sorry not that good with links.
This will show you the stats. You see just because
America has been victories in many battles does not
mean that every country is weak. According to the link.
Iraq is in between the 20th to 30th strongest militarialy but
they were able to put up a fight and rebels are still using gurrilla
tac tics to fight of U.S troops. Another example is India.
Every American ( or a lot of Americans) say they are the
weakest military on earth but they can put up a fight and
invading the country would be very difficult. Pakistan
barely got 2 miles before they were crippled. Another
reason why I disagree about your question/comment is
that China is the few countries in the world with
ICBM's and nukes. And going to war with them means
that the entire U.S economy could collapse and
if troops were to try to invade they would retreat but I do agree
that just as the U.S will fail to invade them China will fail
to invade America but they are much more capable then
you probably think.

It's not the military...it's what they stand for. You don't think China has invaded anybody?....well put it this way..they have infiltrated other countries, incited, supported, and parcticipated in a number of revolutions. Ever hear of Tibet, Laos, Cambodia, and North Korea? They did in fact invade Vietnam after we left.
The point about armed conflict is that the population of China is enormous. The army so outnumbers us that they would be extremely difficult to go to war against using conventional weapons. But then no one wants to use nuclear weapons. We are back to the old mutually assured destruction theory. Neither country could launch a nuclear attack on the other without retaliation. At this point it doesn't matter that our nuclear arsenal can destroy them many times over, if theirs can destroy us once. Let us hope that the growth of the Chinese economy brings about the death of goals for world wide communist domination.

I am sorry but whoever posted this crap needs to learn more.
China and Russia are good allies.
China can rely on russia for help and technology.
Dont forget that russia has more nukes than the US and this is a true fact. So stop trying to impress people because you are an american and believe that the US is the strongest.
Most Russian Surface to Air Missiles can detect US stealth aircraft. And many Communist countries including China buy SAMs from russia.
Dont start counting your chickens. There are many countries out there that have americas technology in one way or the other. Its just left for them to apply it.
And besides Chinas technology and economy in the asian market will be greater than that of the US within the next 5 years. Not in a century like you think because they are very hard working people, not like you boastful and lazy americans.

Last things first - America's military capability is still shrinking.
Next - China is a totalitarian dictatorship (America hopes that China becomes a responsible democracy) and history shows that totalitarian dictatorships with large and powerful militaries are wont to use them to create mischief, whether directly or by proxy.

For many years, China's and the United States militaries are among the best of the best. Their economy is much more stable than America because China's wealth is because of the U.S. and many other countries.

i think china DOES have her own military technology.
and i do think if there's a war between china and US china will absolutely lose. i agree with u for that.
we don't criticize US cuz US's way stronger than us. we can't pay for the result, as you say we are 'third world nations'.
but i do want to say that china's developing very quickly right now. u will agree with me if u had a visit to beijing or shanghai.

Your question answers itself if you did a little digging.
1) China has invaded other countries in the last 100 years, and continues to occupy them. Ask the Dalai Lama why he has no home land. Check the current borders of Kashmir. Those two should be easy for you to find.
2) China openly criticizes other countries. Canada has been threatened using trade, why? Offering the Dalai Lama honourary citizenship. China currently threatens militarily any country that stands by Taiwan. China is currently "Posturing" it's navy in the South China Seas against smaller states.
3) Technology can be used as a "Force Multiplier" in the right hands. In the case of China, many of their arms are produced in China, and Russian goods aren't as crappy as people make them out to be.
Since the 1960s China had considered the Soviet Union the principal threat to its security; lesser threats were posed by long-standing border disputes with Vietnam and India. Beijing's territorial claims and economic interests made the South China Sea an area of strategic importance to China. Although China sought peaceful reunification of Taiwan with the mainland, it did not rule out the use of force against the island if serious internal disturbances, a declaration of independence, or a threatening alliance occurred.
The scope of foreign military cooperation has evolved gradually. In the 1950s China dealt only with communist nations and insurgencies. In the 1960s it began to provide military assistance to Third World nations to counteract Soviet and United States influence. Beginning in the late 1970s, China shifted its arms transfer policy away from military assistance in favor of commercial arms sales and began developing military ties with Western Europe and the United States. Chinese military contacts with foreign countries expanded rapidly with the introduction of the military modernization program and the policy of opening up to the outside world.
By the late 1980s, People's Liberation Army forces consisted of the various arms of the ground forces, and the Air Force, Navy, and Strategic Missile Force (also known as the Second Artillery Corps). The ground forces were divided into group armies and regional forces. Ground force equipment was largely of Soviet design and obsolescent, although some weaponry had been upgraded with foreign technology. The Air Force had serious technological deficiencies despite incremental improvements of aircraft. The Navy was developing a blue-water capability and sea-based strategic forces. China possessed a small but relatively credible nuclear deterrent force with an incipient second-strike capability. Paramilitary forces consisted of the militia, reserve service system, Production and Construction Corps, and People's Armed Police Force.

As I konw ,in China, people love the peace. But they are not afried of war. They prepare for the war and ready to be dead all the time.
We are proud of the Second Artillery Corps ,but we all know(inculding USA) that if we use the nukes, the whole world will be destroyed. It's = suicide
Peace is the first and the best choice right now.I hope the war will never come back ^_^

The chinese breed like rabbits. They have millions to commit to the military. They would never run out of soldiers including women and children. They are all the same size and look exactly alike so we wouldn't be able to tell the difference between men, women, children.
