am i the only one horrified by some of the crude and pointless questions posted in this section?

SOME people, like me for instance, actually come to this section to help people and seek help about spiritual things. some of the stupid or vulgar questions some imbeciles post on here make me sick. some of the perverted questions disgust me not only for the content but for the fact that some people actually post that kind of thing IN THIS SECTION. it is sick. and some of the stupid pointless crappy questions i see make me put my head in my hands and make me wish i wasnt human, because we seem to be a race of idiots that i dont want to be a part of. i love the questions that present a valid point or ask a serious question that really makes you think about beliefs or miracles or god. i am so saddened by the number of people who dont respect people like me. please no stupid or sick answers.

look, im not new in this section. ive been looking at this crap for ages. but does anyone have a way to get their screen names taken or something? reporting doesnt seem to work. i hate seeing things and not being able to change them. its a character flaw. i just hate it. god, give me the strength to change the things that i can change, and the wisdom to accept those that i cant.

No, I too am horrified at some of the things I read. Do not answer them or give them the attention they so desperately want. Ignore them or if they're truly horrid, report them.

I can see why you feel this way but quite honestly, you need a reality check. You cannot command respect without giving it. Always assume that someone is doing the best they can at any given moment. However, I am in no way excusing the behavior of those people who post those questions. It is sad that some of the people on here don't respect your views. But you need to learn to respect theirs. I'm sorry, because I know this is probably not the answer you wanted to get. I'm relatively certain you were expecting a variety of "Yes", "Amen to that", "I can sympathize", etc. But that isn't going to happen. I hope you find a way to deal with this. And do you honestly think it is fair to call people imbeciles, idiots, stupid, any of the names or implications in your question? Show some respect. I think a lot of people would appreciate it if you wrote an apology question or something of that nature. It would do you a lot of good. And please learn to type properly. Boy are you asking a loaded question. I bet you will get lots of nasty responses. I only read and answer the ones that they seem to be looking for real help. i only answer the ones I know something about.
Some people find their questions funny, some answer just for the 2 points. Different strokes for different folks. The world would be a pretty boring and dull place if we all were the same. If we were all the same who would we be like. Yeah, I get disgusted and shake my head when I read questions asking about how pretty someone is to them selves. So I don't answer. I also shake my heads to the ones that ask serious questions and get responses like. "I farted."
I answer questions to try to help people. My advice is don't read the messed up questions. Keep posting serious questions you have but be prepared for some unhelpful and crude comments.

I understand how you feel. I actually come to this section to help people learn the truth about spiritual things, and hopefully guide them away from God and religion altogether so they can lead happier lives.

You should see some of the vulgar perverted sickening replies I receive from religious people, but then I understand that these people suffer from mental illness and lack of intelligence, and so, perhaps their behaviour, although irrational, has a rational explanation. I hope the following helps ease your pain and suffering.

Atheists are more intelligent than religious believers.

My own observation and analysis of the various posters on Yahoo Answers clearly reveals that Atheists are without any doubt, far more intelligent, thought provoking, and capable of holding sensible debate compared to their religious counterparts.

My private research studies indicate that religious people tend to be below average intelligence, and also have a tendency to be more violent than non-believers. This also seems to be supported by profiling various YA religious posters.

Science suggests that religion is a mental illness and that religious people act irrationally because they are genetically predisposed to the “religious or spiritual” gene. Statistics indicate that the higher your education, income, and intelligence, the more likely you are not to believe in a god.

In general terms, this summarises as Atheists are intelligent and religious people suffer from madness.

I think it is just a bunch of immature children posting these gross questions. I would venture to say almost all the racist, vulger, obnoxious, stupid questions are all from children and not adults. I do however have to say that I feel that there are some really mean people on here as well and I believe some of them to be adults. One time I just posted a funny/silly question and this women wrote back to me that she didn't know how I could live with myself being so lazy and that I probably worked for a union and how horrible unions were and on and on...Sometime I really enjoy being on here and stimulating my mind but other times I just wish I could reach out and slap the people ruining it for all of us.

well if you choose to look for opurtunities to be offended you will find them. You obvioulsy enjoy it. You choose to be offended no one can make you angry unless you allow it. Being judgmental of other humans is as far away from spiritual as it gets. Do healthy people go to hospitals or do sick people. Do you know any one who is not in some way sick. every human is spiritualy sick to some extent some are sicker than others. To get angry at a sick person for being sick is sick. Unless of course you are perfect I dont think so that hasnt happened for about 2000 years.

Take heart. I would suggest you do as I do. I pray for these people who post these questions and give the answers they do. They have you where they want you now. Pray to God for strength. Do Not Let Them Win. God is on our side. He is with us. Do not give up the Good Fight. They have made me so angry sometimes, I don't know what to do. We must keep spreading the Word for the sake of God and mankind. If we can reach one person through this, then we have accomplished much.

You have to realize that this is the Internet. Anonymity makes people do strange things. Also, why should we respect you? Proper capitalization will help raise peoples respect for you too. If you feel so saddened by the disrespect you need to grow a thicker skin you hippie! Otherwise you will go nowhere in life.

Take a deep breath and don't dignify the bad ones with an answer. In fact don't even go into them. Also never click on a link until you check out the poster.

Lastly if you click on one and it's bad consider it your duty to spare others from it and click on the Report button and craft a convincing but short critique to the Yahoo answers Governors.

It is disgusting but I just ignore them. Know why? Cause no matter where you go you will always run into immature jerks like that who get off on being annoying, disgusting, crude, and just plain troublesome. And life is too short to get hung up over idiots like that. Don't waste another second thinking about them...they aren't worth your time or your energy.

I agree with you 100%....This is supposed to be a person to person help center type thing and of course you've got the people out there that have to make it a sexual, crude, vulgar or otherwise dirty place to be.....it's horrendous and really sad that such a place has to be messed up with people like that!
