basically i met a girl a year ago and we both fell instantly for each other-she went to the local jr high and i went to the high school-she wanted to wait until she started at the high school before we started going out and i agreed-however when the school year started she totally lost those feelings for me and fell for my best friend and they started going out-i was so hurt that it almost tore us apart. luckily my friend and I made peace and they eventually broke up. i still have feelings for her and she continues to pester me about not talking to her--ladies what is her deal? should i even bother to attempt to talk to her again? she said we'll never be anything more than friends yet she doesn't want to loose me as a friend yet she flirts with me ALL the time.

Don't even bother. It sounds like a high school fling that you will get over with time. It isn't likely the two of you would ever end up getting married or anything anyway. Things like that happen on very, very, VERY seldom occasions.

She just wants you to like her for her own self-serving need for validation, but she doesn't want to be expected to return any feelings for her that you have. It's called being "strung along" by someone. It gives them a feeling of power to string someone along. It makes them feel sexy, desired, and saught after (to think that you're pining away for their love). You should redirect your interest in someone else, or quit showing any interest at all. If you don't move on, you wil be allowing yourself to be walked all over and begin to lose respect for yourself. Forget being friends. Friends do not walk all over friends. Don't tolerate that from anyone!

She's an attractive car but her engine isn't the type you wish to drive uphill & downhill in a tupsy-turvy curves.
See other cars and you'll be amazed with a far more better option.Don't miss out that opportunity.

dude sometimes you just gotta accept it and move on believe me i know what its like having feelings for an unavailable girl. and its not worth it the more you pursue it the crazyier it makes you feel... and sometimes you miss out on oppurtunity to be with someone whos better for you... but anyway dude just chill and know that allot of girls flirt for fun.

There are so many girls out there who will not play games with you. find one and be happy. you don't need someone who is fickle (a flirt) if she flirts with you she doesn't know what she wants. And there are girls who do know who they want , go for it and don't look back.

that sounds like what i'm doing to my guy friend now.. truly deep down she probably does like you & you should keep trying, but after awhile you need to explain to her that she shouldn't be flirting and leading you on when there won't be any true commitment.
