yes...it's the brains inability to turn off the flight or fright response. It's a throw back to a time when we use to run like hell or fight to survive. Unfortunately we've still got it however disproportionate it may seem. Loose ends will do it...overdue bills etc, anything that's perceived as a threat in some way or another. In other words, stress. Normally it doesn't make much sense and can be rationalised away. It's actually very bad for you and does all sorts of strange things to body.

You are not alone.

My depression comes from issues of abandonment and need for security. It seems there is never any security for me, so I am always wondering when the rug will be pulled from beneath my feet. That includes imaginary job loss, imaginary spousal issues, and imaginary parenting issues to name a few.

What helps is knowing that everything went well two days ago, and and again yesterday, and if all goes well today I will have one more day to count as a good day!

Take care of you!

Depression and anxiety are like brother and sister. I have that problem too. Unfortunately, this apparently is a part of why depression has so many unbalanced effects.

Anxiety can be common in depression. I'd say try Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques. They really helped my friend who had anxiety with depression.

Yep, it's all part and parcel of it, I'm afraid. Most anti-depressant medication can also help with anxiety, so ask your doctor.
