she needs to be disciplined. She does not feel there is a boundary for biting. Immediate negative consequence when she does it-I've heard of people biting back, with mixed results. You could startle her with a hand clap or ice on her neck- not painful, but she'll have a negative association. You have to get her under control now or she will push you even further! Watch Nanny 911. She needs to understand that behavior is not acceptable! Time outs show her that you are the adult in charge, and a force to be reckoned with....she will kick and scream and throw and absolute fit b/c she won't want to give up the control she obviously has, but you have to stick through it if you really love her. Do not let a child run your household!

Sometimes it takes tic for tac, bite for bite, and scratch for scratch. That is not ideal. First sit her down and explain the rules. If you bite, you will be in time out for x minutes, if you do it again you will lose this toy for 1 week, 3rd offense, bite her and spank her if necessary (not abuse, just a hand to the backside about 3 good times).
Discipline must be consistent and immediate. Children must know there is a consequence for inappropriate behavior. You have to set the rules, they have to follow them or they pay consequences every time and immediately wherever possible.

YOU are the parent. Discipline is the key. If you don't start now your kid is going to grow and be a bully to others even you. Like you said she is two. She is the right age for you to teach her right from wrong.
How would you feel if somebody's kid did that stuff to your kid? What would you want that parent to do?
Nowadays if a child injures someone's kid YOU can be sued for assault. I don't think you want that. Sometimes a spanking gets the point across. You are the boss. MOM IS ALWAYS THE BOSS. Don't let your daughter grow up to be a bully.
For those that think this is child abuse, learn the difference between abuse and discipline before spewing criticism.

I hope she is not being raised in day care. It sounds as if someone else is raising her a majority of the time. If this is the case, it is not your fault. I know you probably have to make a living. We all do.
You need to set boundaries NOW. Time out at a young age takes forever, but do it until she sits there. Be consistent; do it every time.
If she is in a day care setting, I know this will be hard work but it will be even harder if she is kicked out of day care because of biting, etc.
Good luck to you.

Are you, or are you not the adult? Are you not bigger than she is? Take control of your child now before the authorities do when she is older. I am not joking either. Do whatever you have to do to show her YOU are the boss in this relationship.

Discipline your child.
Give her time out and tell her that it's wrong to hurt people. If worse comes to worse, give her a taste of her own medicine.
