Sure you can show it. But your not going any where. Wont even you pass the check in counter at the airport.

After Dec. 31 of this year, you well need a passport to even go to Canada & Mexico. Let alone get out of the USA by air.

If you are traveling within th eUS you just need your ID.

If you are traveling to Canada or Mexico you can use your ID and a Birth certificate.

If you are traveling anywhere you need a passport and maybe even visa's depending on how long you are going and where.

You can get a Passport at your local Post office. It costs less than $100 and only takes a few weeks.

Nope... no picture. If you're going to travel overseas you MUST have a passport. Some countries require visas too so do your homework.
