I am almost 13 and every single person I know owns a cell phone. He says that I can get one when I am sixteen( which is so not fair)
Is there anyway I can convince him to get me one?

Tell him it is absolutely necessary for your saftey.There are a lot of kooks out there and I got my ten year old one so that she can make a call if anyone should bother her. Isleep a lot better at night. Put him on a guilt trip, like, you don,t care if someone would abduct me or rob me. Tell him 16 is when you get a car.If this doen't work go to plan B , find a way to make some money and buy your own cell phone

In case of an emergency, it would be a good idea for you to have a cell phone, with a camera. I read an article awhile ago where someone tried to abduct a girl about your age. She thought fast, and clicked her phone camera on the person's license plate. With that information, and her quick thinking they caught the guy. Good luck with your dad. I agree with you on this one.

If you want one, get a job and get one yourself.
I wouldn't give my 13 yr. old a cell phone either. They are expensive.
Your parents have other things to worry about, food, house, clothing, utilities, gas, insurance and that's just a few bills that take most of or all of your money.
Start babysitting, get a paper route, earn your own money and get the phone yourself.

Show him that you're responsible (always do your homework, keep your grades up, do your chores, etc) or try to get a job babysitting because when you get a job, you'll really need a cell phone. Plus, you could partially pay with that baby sitting job.

prove to your dad that you're responisble enough to own a cell phone and then list all the praticle reasons why he should get you one. Wining isn't going to get you one faster and saying that all your friends have is not a pratical reason.

act responsible..and try to save up for one.. then maybe he can get convinced that you will do anything for that cell phone. Good luck.

Stay out later than you are supposed to. When your dad complains, tell him that if you had a cell phone you would have called.

well i have no idea how you can convince him but dont u think its weird that i got my cell when i was in 2nd grade (no i am not spoiled). oh yeah tell him that whenever you hang out with your friends that he can just call you to know where you are.

there isnt a way....at least trying to get my dad one. everyone at school had one, but since my friends didnt i couldnt, they wont let me act responible.......
but i would recomend saying that "would if the school got ttaken over and i have to call someone" my parents didnt think that was a good excuse, but it kinda worked

tell him u need it for safety or really try to show him that u can be responsible. clean your room. keep ur grades up. help around the house. but do not, i repeat do not make ur reason for wanting one 'because everybody else has one'.
