hey all, i have a major issue with my boyfriend. We have been together for 1 year and 5 months, and all the sudden he became busy, spending more time with friends, and working. I told him i respect his male-bonding time and work, and family time, but there does not seem to be any time left for me. The other day i asked him if we were still together, and he said maybe we should take a break. Then i asked him if he was cheating on me, he said no. Then he asked if i was cheating on him, i said no. Then i asked him why did he ask me if we needed a break and he said because he doesnt have time. I said that we could stay together if we at least talk to each other, unless he doesnt want me anymore, and he said "i do want you" but now when i text him i dont hear from him. I really dont know whats going on. Does he want me? Should i keep waiting for him? Should i move on? Help.

if he says "let's take a break", your response has to be "we're done". you look desperate trying to hold on to the guy after he clearly told you he doesnt want you. dump the guy now and maintain some dignity. life's too short for this drama.

In my opinion, it sounds like a "run a around." Some men tend to keep women on a string like a yo yo. Some men do not want to tell women straight out that no they are not interested.

I can definitely state that when a person is interested in a keeping a healthy relationship alive; They will work at it.

Read the book "he's just not that into you." By Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo. You will be able to answer you own questions.

Life is too short; move on. P.S. Learn from the experience!

It is hard to say what the situation is with your boyfriend. What you can do is to listen to your woman's intuition and move from there. We guys do need to have time with our friends, family and work.

But he should not treat you like that and not at least have time to spend with you. Be prudent and do what is best for you and your peace of mind.

.....I think you may have grown apart and he's struggling with the ending as he doesn't want to hurt you.......if it was meant to be he would work with you to find a way that you could spend more time together......a sudden change of behaviour is never a good sign......it might be hard to make the break, but you deserve someone who puts you first....good luck
