The Universal (Catholic) Church invented the bible as we know it in 397 CE at the Council of Carthage.

The process of inventing the bible began at the Council of Nicaea in 325 CE under the direction of Emperor Constantine. That council established the doctrine by which the books of the bible would be selected.

King James edited that book in 1611 CE.

You mean the deutero-canonical books. The "second" canon. These books were "officially " added to the Catholic Bible in the 1600's at the Council of Trent.
Originally there were only 66 books in the Bible. Revelation, Jude and a couple others were in question in some churches early in the first century. However most all churches used all 66 from the completion of Revelations in about 95 right on up to today. Later on by the third century some odd documents began to show up in several churches that were suspicious. Finally at a council in Nicea around 325, the original canon was voted on. There were only two votes out of several hundred that voted against the 66 books we use today. At this council the canon was officially closed. Later as the church changed from catholic (meaning for all) into the Roman Catholic Church there was pressure to add books. It was a struggle within the church for hundreds of years. After the reformation-most of the "dissenters" were out of the church-so at Trent the Catholics voted in the other books.
That's a kinda condensed version from memory. There is loads of info on this in most any church history text.

it's still going on. different sects put different bits in, and take others out. it's a very fluid set of books, the bible. the gideons (the hotel bible people) - protestants - have a different set of books than anglicans - protestants (barely) - and catholics, and the gideons and anglicans weren't formed until very recently, and not so long ago, respectively.

I believe it was during the reign of Pope Constantine, that the most adulterated editting took place...then, each faction, following the beliefs of its ruler(s) of the times and to maintain their own power, adhered & reinterpretted from there...the feminine balance was removed, and fear was implemented...there are now 24 different versions available...depending on the sect & what interpretation worked for their scheme of things.
