Not trying to be cruel here...but really what does the color of somebody's skin have to do with ANYTHING? I wish somebody would invent a drug to administer at birth to make everybody the same color so we could get away from such a trivial issue and focus on things that are far more important!!! I know I am gonna get some bashing on this one...so just to be clear...I don't think we really need to drug a baby, ok?

On Racism, no, it is a cancer on society.

On race being used as a reason for some one failing or not even trying to improve themselves, yes.

Case in point, myself;
My father dropped out of 8 th grade and joined the military the day after his 17th birthday. When he finally retired from the civilian world he was teaching Master's classes in computer programming.

One of my grandfathers was the first one in his family that wasn't a sharecropper. My grandmother was the first in her family to finish high school. They met because she was more or less the "village scribe" and would read folks letters they had received and write their responses back.

I went to a vocational high school but made enough money to buy a couple of homes and see most of the world.

Yes, I am white but the only reason that anyone in my family got up in the world was that they tried and worked hard for it.

Well, I wouldn't necessarily make everyone the same color at birth but I agree with you on the grounds that people play the race card on a regular basis, which in my humble opinion, is far too much.

Yeah, the race card is played just a bit too much.

It's pretty old hat and only works on the un-innoculated.

Why can't we all just be people?

I liked it better when the only reason to dislike another person was when girls had cooties! Now that I'm older, I don't dislike them, and instead of running from girls with cooties, I'm trying to get some...

Cooties, that is
