Maybe people are making intellectual headway!
Learning to distinguish between science and faith, and even better: that they not only don't clash, they have nothing to do with each other!

Well God created the universe and anything in existence.
So God is a creater and a sustainer as well as many otherthings.

Now science is a study or observation of something to learn about them or determine its origination and bring them under general principles and laws. so in otherwords science proves how things work or are formed.
Now if you read the Quran God explains every thing in there from how a baby is developed ,how the universe came into existance, how clouds are formed, the two seas not mingling, Mountains acting as pegs for the Earth, rain, fingerprints and lots of otherstuff. These things are only just being confirmed by 20th century scientists which proves that God created Everything.
In the Quran you get faith and proof beyound reasonable doubt.
So God has already given us an explanation of the universe in the quran which science has only confirmed in the last 65 years.

This depends on how one defines "God". By reason alone, one can use a concept of "God" to explain the origin, order and consistency of the physical universe and the laws that govern its operation, the origin of meaningful genetic information against overwhelming odds, and the reason "why" a lifeform should arise with the ability to contemplate its own existence.

Ultimately, science is not equipped to provide definitive answers to these problems, but it can point us to something beyond the universe as we see it, something that exists independent of time and space. To many people, this approximately decribes the single, transcendent God of the Judeo-Christian-Islamic tradition, but the language and assumptions used by scientists and by theologians are still fundamentally different (although both are trying to describe a common universe).

I'm not sure if this provides an answer or not (if there is such a thing for such a question).

Peace and blessings

God can't be used as a scientific explanation for anything. Science requires something that can be seen and repeated. God is a matter of faith. They don't really have much to do with one another, and that's just fine.

Not if you want God to survive scientific discovery. Linking God to silly pseudo-scientific notions makes a mockery of both science and God.

It's bad enough that the fundamentalist "Biblicans" reduce God to a sadistic, vain and secretive desert tribal tyrant. On the science side they wold reduce knowledge to the absurdities produced by the putative tribal scribblers.

In short, even though I am a non-believer, I would welcome the informed theology I know exists out there. I'd like to exchange ideas with believers who conceive of a Great God, not this spokesman of anti-intellectuality.

I believe God created science as a way to get us to think about the world around us, and ultimately to appreciate the wonders He has created. As for diseases...well, I believe in demons and angels, so maybe diseases are coming from demons, or they may also in some cases be from God as a test of faith. I believe that Satan will do everything in his power to draw us away from God.

First, God is no way related to science. LOL. That is like trying to use the Easter Bunny for the explanation for 9/11.

Yes. If you lack the ability to think, and don't understand true origins. Evolution is true. I am atheist, but if there is a god, we need to give up on the creation story, because things did not go down like that.

Of course not. God is not a science-based idea, it is faith-based. Try praying for your blood to stop draining from your body the next time you get a limb cut off and watch the stunning lack of effect as you slowly perish.

Or, try a tourniquet.

God has nothing to do with evolution or disease. God created the world.... it did not evolve...think for a moment... where did the starting materials come from in evolution.... did they just pop in out of nowhere?

The bible teaches that when sin entered the world, so did sickness and disease.
