I have a blister on the instep of my right foot, its open and no I did not pop it. What is the best way for it to heal. I've been keeping it covered and put Betadine on it. I have tennis tryouts next week, so i want it to heal quickly.

The best thing you can do is to keep it clean. If it gets dirty, it may get infected, and then it really will be slow to heal. Keep an antibiotic ointment on it, like Neosporin or Silvadene, and keep it bandaged up.

Also, stay off of it. The more weight you put on it, the longer it will take to heal. If you still have a blister when the time comes for tennis, you probably should postpone the tennis, and get healed first.

You didn't mention whether you are diabetic. If you are diabetic, you need to show it to your doctor. Even if you have not been diagnosed as diabetic, if you keep getting blisters that heal slowly, you should have a doctor check to see if you are diabetic. Diabetic blisters can lead to toe, foot and leg amputations.

Let it get as much air as possible so when you are home and can avoid walking on it keep it uncovered and let it heal. When it is covered it keeps the skin really soft and tender and it takes longer to heal. Also neosporn will help it heal faster as well. There is a prescription cream called sylvadine (I think that is how it is spelled) is awesome and would heal it supper fast so ask around to see if any one you know has some of that.

Betadine is too harsh for your skin. Wash it off before it gets worse. Keep it clean and covered. Wash it once or twice a day with mild soap, let it dry completely, add a little neosporin and a band aid and it should heal really quick.

You had better be ready for some pain, since most peoples fast heal cures involve pain.

rubbing salt into an open wound will make it heal faster

try and keep off it when you can. walking on it probably irritates it. It should be gone by next week though.
