Laugh Out loud - when something is supposed to be funny! ( Always a matter of opinion). Pretty soon we will have to go back to school and learn a new language to communicate over the Net. For me, personally, the Queen's English is just fine and it's a pity people are in such a rush nowadays that they can't take a few extra seconds to spell and phrase properly

It Means 'Laugh out Loud' but some people use it for things that are not really funny and is nothing to laugh about. For example 'Yesterday i went into town with my mates, and paid for something with a fake note, LOL' .See the saner of us do not find that funny, it is quite serious actually, the words fraud and deception come to mind. LOL - so over-rated.
