of course the answer to the first question is Jesus but the fact that they gave you a violation is stupid because if they didn't want people true thoughts they shouldn't have asked that question

If that's what really happened (as is ALL that happened), I'd agree with you. If people are getting violations for pointing out the falsehood of religious beliefs, then Yahoo! Answers isn't worth coming to.

However, nothing personal, but in light of the nature of most complaints of this sort, I'm suspicious that there was more to it than you're admitting here. Again, I don't see any sign of it in your posts, but in the past a little investigating has shown that people complaining about having been censored had said things that deserved it. Sorry in advance if that's not the case here.

As someone else pointed out, though, you do not have a right to free speech as far as Yahoo is concerned. They're not the government, and they could decide on a whim that they will ban whatever kind of speech they choose to ban.

Somebody was probably offended enough by your answer to report it as a flame, or abuse. That is what causes the Yahoo action: customer complaint.

Civil rights have not been violated. This is a private forum, and the forum "owner" has the right to make the rules. If you don't play nice with the other children, the "owner" can remove you from the sandbox for a time-out.

Some of the questions on this forum have been ridiculous. Some of them have been downright crass! I wish the participants on this forum would be more mature, but then we can't force anybody to grow up. I appreciate it when rules are enforced. It is one of the things that keeps our society, civilized.

Y!A appears to have a very poor method for removing questions.

It appears the content is never read or reviewed, the question or answer is removed based on number of complaints. I don't know the magic number, but I've had answers removed that were not what was claimed.

And, Y!A never responded to my inquiries.

It is not a "civil rights" violation. You get what you pay for.

I think Yahoo should have deleted the question if it deleted your answer. A boxing match between jesus and allah? That seems to be a mockery of religion and faith just as much as anything else people say.

you only need to few people to complain.....your question is less abusive than others I have seen....

by the way, the answer to your question is obvious... if allah is not real and jesus is just a man to you, then obviously a man who at least exists has a better chance of winning a boxing match than someone who does not exist.

I hope someday you see Jesus for who he really is....

Yahoo has the right to remove anything they think might offend or cause trouble. However, I disagree that this response was worthy of a violation. It 's really just another opinion and we give them all the time here. I would be offended if it were me.

I've seen many worse answers on these boards.

You can't do anything so you either forget about it or give up on yahoo altogether. No sense in beating a dead horse....it's going to remain dead anyway.

Ok, whoever asked the question was dumb anyway. Allah is God and Jesus is the son of God so wouldn't God win? Anyway, if you are an atheists, all these people on here are offended and feel the need to report you. Just brush it off.

It relies upon the place you reside and how the courts artwork. In us of a of america, for the main area, no. there is freedom of speech with some provisions of path. notwithstanding, the best thank you to respond to this complete question is think of like the courts... "What would a real looking individual have confidence?" genuine looking which skill what would a jury maximum possibly say? maximum would say the coolest judgment is there however the smart utility isn't.

I think you should leave the religious issue alone, or you'll be getting another violation, because you're violating the civil rights of people who believe in Jesus, which they have a right to do.
