You will probably see your best result if you sell your old car yourself then go buy the one you want. (Used car dealerships give TERRIBLE trade in values on 10-year plus cars.)

You are much better off selling it yourself. Go to www.kbb.com and check out the value of your car as a trade-in, and then as a retail vehicle. Quite a difference!
