1. - would you want a boarding facility to require vaccinations for all cats, or not require them for healthy indoor cats?
the cats' rooms are seperate

2. - would you let your cats have access to a large play area or an outdoors enclosed area that other cats have just been in?

I would like a lot of opinions on this, thanks

If anyone worked at a cattery, can I message them and ask a few other questions?

1. - i would want a boarding facility to require vaccinations for all cats, outdoor or indoor, b/c if you don't, then you never know what the cat has been exposed to. even if a healthy indoor cat appears healthy and has had limited access to other cats, he's going to be exposed to other cats in the facility and you want him to be properly boosted so his immune system can fight diseases.

2.- i think the large play area sounds fun, as long as your cat has been properly vaccinated. that way, if other cats have left diseases in the play area, your cat will be able to fight them off. i dont think it will bother your cat too much if he can smell the other cats.

All these questions aside, chose a place to board your cat that you feel comfortable with. Trust your instinct.

My cats, I know, would never feel comfortable in a large play area with lots of strange cats, so I'd prefer a place that lets them out individually, despite other cats' presence.

As far as the vaccinations go, I like a place that requires them, but as long as your cats aren't coming into direct contact with other cats, they should be fine.
