Do you consider your animals as part of your family? I do, I have 3 dogs and 3 cats. I feel once you have taken on the responsibility for their lives and well being. That they then become like part of the family. I can't stand it when someone gets an animal, then just leaves them outside. Only paying attention to them when they feed them. They don't deserve to have pet's. What do you think?

I totally agree with you - they should do tests on people before they give them animals to make sure that they will treat them as part of the family!!!

I agree with you. I have one dog and three cats now. In the past I have had dogs and 3 cats who passed away from old age. My oldest cat Janet was 20 , then Puck was 17, then Gizmo who was 13. The dogs were Smiley 18 and Lucky 16 . When you get a pet it is for life. My husband and our pets are my only family....they are like our children.

I totally agree.
I t makes me sick to see an animal on a chain or in a kennel away from everyone.
If the people who do this forced their kids into a room with nothing to keep them occupied and never allowed them contact with anyone it'd be considered abuse and neglect but it's fine to do it to a dog.It makes no sense.
We have 2 cats and 2 dogs.They're all in the house with us.They eat and sleep with us.Their needs are tended to before our own and altho I had to make up birthdays for the cats they all have a special day when they get presents as well as on Christmas.The dogs go about everywhere we do.And altho between us we have 6 kids and 7 grandkids I have to say that the animals are cleaner,they mind better,they never talk back and they are'nt near as destructive as a child.

My son and I consider our 3 dogs, cat and 2 kittens to be part of our family. My husband is working on it.

My dog, Bakito has been part of my life...she loves me and I loves her more than anything else. Shes more than just an animal to me...Shes my best friend! + I feed her what I eat ( not dog food ) we are asian type family so yeah...she lives inside the house because out side is cold!!!

I have a dog, which is part Jack Russel Terrier and Rat
Terrier and she defintely is part of my family and when I see these stupid people leave a dog out in all kinds of weather and at night, I would like to tie up these idiots
and do to them the same as they do to the dog.

I'm like you......I can't stand people that don't take care of their animals. I live on a farm and have a bunch of animals that I take care of and love every day. Each one of them have their own personality and feelings. They ARE our family.
There is no excuse to mistreat an animal.

My toy poodle Mercedes Benz is part of the family. He sleeps in my bed and wears shoes and is more fashion forward than Tinkerbell herself.
