Well try 2 treat him with a home remedy, wipe the area with Hydrogen Peroxide, daily, then make sure all the glass is out with a tweezer. Apply some Neosporen, or A+D ointment to the wound just like u would do to yourself. 2nd try to use some guaze or a rag to cover the cut. Minamize the amount of walking the dog. dont wet the wound. Last if u see a sign of infection u must take the dog 2 the vet!!!!

Cuts that aren't bleeding are not an emergency. You should clean the wound with a saline solution and keep it bandaged untill you can see a vet. It is not an emergency if it's not bleeding or excessively deep, that doesn't mean in any way that you shouldn't take your dog to the vet. Cuts caused by glass often require stitches and you will need a vet's care in the event of any infection... being the foot your vet will probably give you antibiotics because the risk of infection is significantly higher there.

You can wait up to 18 hours, you don't need to rush him to a veterinary hospital unless it is bleeding and won't stop. But he does NEED to see a vet very soon.

Don't use any peroxide, alcohol, disinfectant, iodine, or any other home remedies on a deep wound!!!! Neosporin is a horrible suggestion, just read the label! "Do not use on deep or puncture wounds"

HE NEEDS TO GO TO THE VET IMMEDIATELY!!!!!! There is nothing you can do for him at home! You can put pressure on it to slow the bleeding, but the vet will need to see him. If your vet is closed, find another. If it's money, find it or work out payments with the vet, or get a loan. There is a credit card available for pet care. I think it's called pet credit. If those aren't an option, you need to call your nearest shelter and see if they can take him for treatment. You'll probably have to surrender him. YOU HAVE TO DO WHAT'S BEST FOR HIM!!!!!! If you can't afford to take care of him, you need to give him a better home. WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO DO, GET OFF THE INTERNET AND CALL THE VET RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!

Why can't you take him to the vet? Proper vet care is your responsibility as a pet owner. He need antibiotics, and possibly stitches. If you're really strapped for money, ask your vet about a payment plan.

If you can't take care of the pet you own properly ,then you should not own it. Your pooch needs to go to the vet. Find a way and take him ASAP. Good luck

Put a pressure bandage on it, but if it is cut very deep then he needs to go to the vet.
