Christianity is much more than going to church on Sunday. However, there are some very good reasons to attend church.

The first is simply the fellowship with other believers. We are to hold each other up and hold each other accountable for our faith. That is near impossible to do without attending a church service where you will be held accountable.

Also we re to hear the Word of God and not just read it. That means we need to attend church. Pastors don't preach just because w like to tell people what to do. Our messages should be inspired by the Holy Spirit and we should allow Him to direct us in our preaching. You will get an interpretation of the Bible by attend a church service.

Another reason is the service gives us a place to serve Him and others.

Hope these basic answers help.

People go to church on Sunday , because the Romans set it up as a day of worship instead of the seventh day Sabbath that God gave us from the beginning. Sunday was orginally the day the Heathens had as a day of worship of their Sun God. When the heathens started wanting to join the church the Romans, in order to keep their, interest changed the Sabbath from the Seventh day to the first day of the week. Here is a scripture, prophecy, I think you will find very interesting. Daniel 7-25, says, ( He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, shall persecute the saints of the Most High, and shall intend to change times and law. Then the saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time.)

The ten commandments are according to the bible Mosiac law. Jesus never said that he was replacing them with anything but only fulfilling them. He added his own which is a rule that is held in one form or another by most major religions but you discourse proves that maybe those who tried to keep the bible out of the hands of the general population were right. Anyway every sect of christianity has declared a day the sabbath and try to enforce the law to keep the sabbath holy. And if you guys didn't break your own rules you would have nothing to feel guilty about or reason to look down on others who break the rules. Frankly if you didn't violate the don't kill rule there would be no christians. Your continued existence proves the goddess has a truly strange sense of humour.

Jesus rose from the dead on sunday.
Colossians 2:16,17
Therefore let no man judge you in eating and drinking or in respect of a festival or of an observanxe of the new moon or of a sabbath.
for those things are a shadow of the things to come, but the reality belongs to the christ. there is another scripture that says they old law was nailed to the torture stake with Jesus.
The old laws pointed us to the need for the salvation that could only come thru the blood of the Christ.
Other wise if you keep the Sabath then you should be making sacrifices of lambs and pigeons on an alter.

When we accept Jesus into our lives we become a small part of the larger body of Christ, thats why churches were started, so we can all join together as a whole and worship, pray, study, fellowship with other Christians, learn from other Christians or teach them things we have learned. Read 1 Corinthians 12-31. The Lord wants us to do this, this is part of what he teaches us in the Bible. As one alone, we are a small piece of the Larger body of Christ and we may seem or feel weak, when we gathwe with other Christians at a church we are a much bigger part of the body of Christ and we feel stronger in our faith. Gathering with other members of our faith uplifts us "inside"

They want to follow the Pope of Rome. The Catholic church is the one that changed the day as they boast themselves of doing. Then they make fun of the Protestant churches that say they follow the bible and the bible only but worship on Sunday a day for which there is no scriptural support.
