I was going to say don't, but since you haven't any teenagers, it might be OK.

Does the UK have an automobile association that provides maps and tour books and roadside assistance? That would be a good place to start.

You don't say whether you're breastfeeding or bottle feeding. Of course, it would be easier on both of you if you were breastfeeding. But if otherwise, bottles should be made one at a time, since you won't have good refrigeration. A powder should be used instead of a liquid formula. And buy your bottled water, instead of trying to sterilize your own.

Otherwise, lots of clothes along for everyone (doubly so for the baby). And be prepared to visit the nearest town occasionally to do laundry, as well as give you a treat of a cooked meal NOT prepared by your own hands. Pick foods that are packaged in quantities that won't mean leftovers that can spoil.

And the most important thing...it's supposed to be a holiday. Relax. Enjoy yourself. Let the kids go a little crazy. Praise your husband unreservedly over the top for every little thing he does. (He'll be more inclined to do more.) And take lots of digital pictures.

Well we managed camping with a 6 month old, an 18 month old and a 6 year old so caravanning should be a doddle....
The kids loved it but my boyfriend had the worst time of his life...I however had the best time of mine watching him spend 4 hours trying to put up the tent.
