Is this ....and now I have one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel or what? You are 64....not 84. I know you will miss your child but there are still things for you to do. Get involved with things you missed out on while the 19 year old was at home.there are plenty of organizations that would love some help. You might take up a hobby that you didn't have time for before. You might even decide to go back to school yourself. Also remember that your child is away. You can still visit and take interest in their life. E-mail is a good way to keep in touch. You will make it through this.

As Yogi Berra said, "It ain't over, 'till it's over." You've got 4 more years of agony ahead of you. Of course there are going to be those months of quiet, but "da kid" is still going to be coming home for holidays and vacations. Keep working, hope you enjoy your job. It ain't over 'til it's over.
