It's no good for you. It's better than an alcohol drinking contest, but I remember hearing about a hazing event at California State University Chico (chico state) where there was a water drinking contest and a kid died of it. A quick internet search turned up the sources I just found, if you doubt it.
"Forced water consumption and heavy exercise are known to dilute the salt content of blood to the point where it interferes with brain, heart and muscle function. Without enough sodium, the brain swells and victims can suffer fatal comas" see my sources below.
It happens because the water dilutes the sodium (salt) in the blood, a situation called Hyponatremia. There's a wikipedia article on it, but it's way in-depth.

Too much water too quickly can cause water intoxication, which is potentially fatal.
From wikipedia: Most water intoxication is caused by hyponatremia, an overdilution of sodium in the blood plasma, which in turn causes an osmotic shift of water from extracellular fluid (outside of cells) to intracellular fluid (within cells). The cells swell as a result of changes in osmotic pressure and may cease to function. When this occurs in the cells of the central nervous system and brain, water intoxication is the result. Additionally, many other cells in the body may undergo cytolysis, wherein cell membranes unable to stand abnormal osmotic pressures rupture, killing the cells. Initial symptoms typically include light-headedness, sometimes accompanied by nausea, vomiting, headache and/or malaise. Plasma sodium levels below 100 mmol/L (2.3g/L) frequently result in cerebral edema, seizures, coma, and death within a few hours of drinking the excess water. As with an alcohol poisoning, the progression from mild to severe symptoms may occur rapidly as the water continues to enter the body from the stomach or intravenously.

I have the solution, why don't you drink: AIR.
Make an air swallowing contest, whoever swallows the most air wins. That way you won't have to worry about the water nor the puking.

It is possible to overdose from drinking too much water. It throws off your body's electrolyte balance or something like that. I've even heard of someone dying from drinking too much water. If you're puking, your body is telling you it's not right!

drinking too much water at once can make you feel sick and imagine you might throw up as well. your body may be rejecting it because too much of anything can result in vomiting. also too much water can kill you...but it would be like a couple gallons
i know i start to feel sick after 4 1/2 glasses, like one right after the other...it's a bit sad...

Why do you want to do this? People have died from drinking too much water, while most of us don't drink enough.
