Jesus foretold that Israel will become a nation once again in the parable of the fig tree Matthew 24:32-35. Israel became a nation in May 14th 1948. What are the chances of the jewish people uniting again under one nation. There are many more fullfilled prophecies but this one a BIG one. What do you have to say about it?

Matthew 24
32 “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! 34 Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

This is an excellent (and timely!) question. I hope you get lots of responses.

In the Greek, Christ's statement is very emphatic. He said LEARN IT! It is very important that we know and understand the parable of the fig tree, and that Israel was to re-establish itself in the End of Days. When Christ said that generation will not pass before the End of Days begins, it boils down to some people who were alive in 1948 will still be here when Christ returns, bringing an end to this age of Man's history.

In the Bible, a generation as it refers to a time period and not a biological lineage, has three distinct time-frames. 40 years, 70 years, and 120 years. The 40 year mark came and went in 1988. A 70 year generation will hit in 2018, and 120 year generation in 2068. If you truly understand the nature of the first beast in Revelation (globalism, or "One World government"), and look at the events that are occurring in the world right now (particularly Peak-Oil), you'll probably lean toward the 2018 date. 2015 is going to be a VERY rough year for energy availability, and wars over resources will probably already be going strong well before this year (2015) arrives. Add a few years of madness, 5 months under the machinations of the 2nd beast (Satan), and 2018 looks to be a "happening" year for us. Don't get thrown by 3 1/2 years (times, time, and a half time)... the time is shortened for the Elect's sake. I'd bet on late September, 2018. Harvest!

Want a piece of the inside track on Israel? Read in Jeremiah about the baskets of figs. In the End of Days, Israel will consist of two different groups of people, "good figs" and "bad figs". These are the Smyrna and Caprice figs, good and bad, but almost impossible to distinguish by sight. You'll know when you taste of them though. The two groups of people are the true descendants of Israel (mostly from Judah and Benjamin), and the other is the group that intermingled their bloodlines with Kenites, Canaanites, and particularly the descendants of Ishmael. Don't sweat it, though. We know what we need to do to make it through all right. That's why God gave us the scriptures! :)

Halocaust guilt. The western nations did nothing when they could have worked to save the German and Eastern European Jews. It was only after pushing through Germany during WWII that the western nations realized their mistakes. They tried to resolve this mistake by giving Jews what was not theirs to give: the tract of already-populated land that became Israel. Whlie the Jewish people certainly deserved reparations and respect, this was not the answer. The western nations only did this to stop Jewish immigration into their own countries.

Being nations with large Christian constituencies, it also served their own interests to fulfill the prophecy of the Bible. They did it. Not God.

The western nations, in particular the US and Great Britain, are to blame for much of the turmoil in the Middle East as they were the ones who created national boundaries during WWI and WWII. They did this with little regard to the people who were already living in the Middle East. It was imperialism at its worst.

This is not the result of Biblical prophecy, but the error of man.

Israelis are terrorists who occupied Palestine and kicked out a lot of Palestinians out of their land in 1948. So, I don't know why people are so faked by the Western and Jewish Media to a degree of such stupidity saying that Jews has the right to make a nation. This is stupid. Since their occupation and invasion of the Holy Palestinian Lands in 1948, they've been killing people and destroying cities of Arabs and Muslims.
Wake up people
Wake up before it's too late
One day, you will be sorry for supporting Israel and Jews.
One day you'll say that, stop your support to them so that you don't say that.

Self fulfilling. Israel is a nation founded by people, so people being aware of the prophecy wanted to make it happen. Prophecys are only prophecys if they're gutsy: they sugguest things that are inheritly very unlikely to happen.

Edit: Which reminds me, supposedly, for someone to be a true prophet, not most of their prophecys have to come true, but ALL of them. I actually asked a question on that, and the Criteria for a Prophet was actually REALLY strict; I would have figured it was something less. The "Gutsy" prophecies should come true with reguarly more accuracy than someone who's just really smart and knows what's going on... ahh well.

The only one who knows the exact day of Yeshua Messhia's, Jesus Christ's return is the Father Elohim Yahweh, Yahuawah or Ya, is God. People with all this speculation simply wanted to sacre people and make money as a result.

I have nothing against kahn, but he wants to make money like everyone else--what better way to do it than by speaking of the end of the world. If he's trying to warn people that's great--we've been warned many times. I am a Christian myself. I wonder how much Yahweh loves His Messianic Jews when they go critcizing people for being either Catholic or Protestant. We all ove Yeshua Jesus the Christ. Does he really care that we either spell His name or pronounce it different--I don't think so. God is all loving, giving and understanding. I think the peoples of the earth should try to walk by this very prinicple. Do I know the end of the world by trying to interpet the sun, the moon or whatever else-- no! No one can. Jesus Christ Himself speaking of this issue. He spoke about how many flase prophets would come heralding this and saying that. I think Kahn means well, so did other prophets or would be prophets of the 19, 20 and the present 21st century. I myself am a writer, although I don't write a book about the end of the world. I meerly write about how only can have a bteter life by being of constructive service to Yahweh, Yeshua, Elohim now and not later.

I would try reading the Bible a little more, and.this message is to both Gentile as well as Jew. Does it matter what Bible--I think what matters is that you read the Bible. I think God could careless about how His name is speltwhat part of the Bible we start ot whatever else. He, the Father Elohim desires mercy and not sacrifice. You have to remember we all have different cultural backgrounds--thus there will be different spellings and meanings for words. But, I believe God, Yahweh looks within the heart and can care less about a day of worship, an offering or whatever else. Jesus Christ spoke about the Pharissees and Sadducees offerings that they do not honor God. For they look for their own vainglory. What is our offering to God? Do we stand in front of temple altar praying for an hour straight or are we simply in our room with our door closed praying to God to help us change, to help us become better people, asking that we may search for His Eternal Love found in our Lord and Savior Jesus (Yeshua) Christ. This is the Truth Jesus Christ spoke about two thousand years ago. That in end, all that truly matters is love--for God is love!

Peace and love to all in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Yeshusa Messhia's Name..

The modern state of Israel fulfills no biblical prophecies.

Most Isrealis are atheists and totally unrelated to anything in the bible.

"Israelite" refers specifically to descendants of a tribe of ancient goat herders. Modern day Israelis do not qualify as "Israelites."

And, the passage you cite is not a valid prophecy. As a matter of fact, it proves the bible is nonsense since Jesus did not appear in the "second coming" to that generation.

The parable, is referring too the generation of Jews, that killed Jesus, and his prophets, so he allowed, the Roman Army too desecrate the Temple, destroy Jerusalem, and kill over a million Jews (those Jews, that turned away from Jesus). Those Jews, that survived, were the followers of Jesus, and fled into the mountains, when the Roman Army, came to destroy, Jerusalem.
