The OVERgeneralization that tithes end up where they shouldn't is truly hysterical. Yes, some unscrupulous people have taken advantage of the position of the church, but they will answer for it one day. The pastors at my church drive pick up trucks and Mazda's that have seen a better decade. Our tithes go to children's programs and mission trips to India, China, Argentina, and places within the USA. Yes, our tithes go to pay the electricity bill and water, but they also help start new churches in struggling areas. If you don't like the way a church is run, find a new one! God does not demand that we worship in a particular style or "denomination", only that we worship Him!

You're supposed to give 10% of your earnings. Have you ever wondered why the preacher is always driving a new Lexus and lives in a million dollar house while people are starving? That's all religion is about - money. So get ready to cough up the bucks when you go to church; after all, you don't want your preacher living on the street do you?

0% My church does not go in for that kind of thing and even if it did, it is up to God to take care of it, not me.
