Absoluely. I have been a performer for many years, but in '89 I started goofing around with the sound systems. By 1996 I started a sound reinforcement company and it was off to the races.
Being able to support yourself and family doing what you love to do, it's like being on paid vacation every day.

I was one of the Drama/Art fags in High School. After a hitch in the Army and some time on an Ambulance in New York, I went back to college. Majored in Theatre and am now the Master Stage Carpenter (ie. head stagehand) for the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts in Tacoma WA.

Well, my hobby has been writing for as long as I can remember. I now have a part-time job writing freelance for a newspaper. It's not a full-time career, but I am earning money doing something I love, and that's really a thrill for me!!

I've always loved to paint, but not really landscapes or portraits, so got into face painting for childrens parties...figured out about 35 easy things, rainbows, hearts, unicorns, snakes, cats...put them on a poster and paint faces. I've been doing it for 20 years...make 50.00 an hour...can paint about 2 dozen faces in that time. Unfortunately most parties, fiestas, etc are only on weekends...but its still good. Send flyers to schools, churches, ask friends to let you practice at their kids parties.
