Yes! I've found that's the best way to store them.

If they are unpeeled yes that will keep them forever and crackers ,chips and cookies all stay fresh as long as they stay in that fridge. My friend put cookies in the fridge for a year and they were as fresh as when she bought them also cereal.

Sure, but do you have the space? Any moderately cool place out of the sun will do as well for weeks, at least. A refrigerator might prove too moist after a while.

Just keep them in a bag in a cool dry place and they will last a long time. I have kept sacks of potatoes for months over the wintertime in my garage.
