Easy, Jesus Christ belongs to the Christian philosophy. It came out of the Jewish Nation and their God. The Islamics believe that Jesus Christ is another great prophet like Moses, Daniel, or Mohamed, but not the son of God. Than there is other religions that have their own God(s). So depending on your make up, you can believe in God or a supernatural being without believing in Jesus Christ.

It's called Judaism. And they believe that Jesus was a prophet, but not the Son of God. As far as someone believing in God, but not believing that someone called Jesus Christ ever existed, I've never heard of that, but I'm sure it's just a personal belief.

Because it's very difficult to look at what the cross of Jesus symbolizes. The bible says "the cross is an offense to those who are perishing." The cross says, you are a sinner and you cannot make up for your sins. Jesus' death on the cross is the only way anyone can escape punishment for the sins they have committed on earth. Most people are okay with believing in a god of their own making, but they really don't like being told there is only one way to reach the true God; by repentance and faith in His son.

I think it is a human characterstic, instinctual and a need to believe in a god. People may not believe in Jesus Christ because of their own selfishness and as the Bible says, "a hardened heart".

I don't know because they were both present at Jesus baptizm
in John 1 Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Re 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
Re 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Re 19:12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
Re 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Each of us connects to God in our own way. Some it is through Christianity and some through other religions.
Gos and Jesus do not go hand in hand in a lot of people's beliefs.
