How can a benefit pay taxes?

Are you asking if you are taxed on fringe benefits then the answer is sometimes. I worked for a bank as an officer and they gave me free accident insurance. A percentage was shown as income on my W2 and was taxable since I earned over a minimum amount.

No not really , you and I ...we pay the taxes.

However money from fringe benefits can certainly be used to pay our tax dollars to the IRS or State.

Also most if not all (to some degree, there are always exceptions) fringe benefits are indeed taxable but you can still use that income to give back in the form of tax dollars.

Some fringe benefits are taxable, others are not.
