after 3 years on high doses of pain meds and zanex's the doctor has stopped prescribing the meds all of a sudden

Go find another doctor, getting off anything addictive is difficult, you should not have to do it alone. I think getting off meds that are harming you are impairing your judgment is a good idea, but cold turkey can often lead to relapse or just giving up. Get a new doc, tell him exactly what you were taking and how much, even if it was more than prescribed so he can help.

I guess he can, but you need to detox off those meds b/c serious complications can arrise. Good luck and health.

i think he can for a good reason but if you feel withdraws you need to report it quick. if he doesnt put you back on it there should be another medication that will help you deal with withdraws, depending on the medication
