Not a good idea, alcohol thins the blood and I believe you are suppose to wait four days before donating.

I don't think that will be a problem Usually there are many other reasons why you cannot donate blood and since your alcohol usage was yesterday it should not matter. When I donated blood I don't even remember if they asked that particular question I went to donate with five other people though and mine was the only blood they would accept for a variety of reasons the other folks blood was not acceptable.

call 1-800-GIVE-Life and ask them. I couldn't find anything on their web site about alcohol consumption. If you had one drink of wine or something I can't see the problem. However, everybody knows that alcohol consumption can dehydrate you if you do not replace the fluids by drinking more I think you should skip out on it. If you feel crappy then I would say No don't give. Below is the sites I visited.

Depends on how much you drank. If it was a little, like a glass of wine, you should be fine. If you got totally drunk, then you should probably wait a couple of days to get it completely out of your system before going to donate.

The body processes alcohol at about one ounce every hour so unless you were falling down drunk you should be ok
