A lot of grown-ups don't know what they want to be when they grow up. Want a good example?

I'm going to a huge, private, prestigious university, and every single day I meet people who are "undeclared," which means that not only do they not know what they want to do, they don't even know what they want to study! And a lot of the time, these people wait until the last minute to choose a major. There's nothing wrong with them. It means that they get the chance to test all sorts of interesting options before figuring out what works for them.

I don't know how old you are, but I'm gonna guess school-age. Don't worry! Everything is bound to change, and the key is to pursue what you're interested in, but be willing to admit when what you want changes.

Enjoy the indecision. Knowing everything would make life WAY boring.

im thirteen almost 14 and i haven't decided either.. but don't worry there is still time for you to decide what you like to do. when you grow up, you will get to experience with things that you might b very good at and things that you like to do. perhaps you might find a job that you are good at and also helps people. or you might find a job where you can accomplish your dreams. i don't noe what i wanna be. a few years ago, i decided i wanted to b a teacher because my teachers were so mean so i thought it would b nice if there was a nicer teacher. but now, i found out that being a teacher is an easy job and it doesn't have a really high salary niehter =\ i don't wanna b a doctor.. actually i'd love to b a doctor but i can't cuz im afraid of blood ... soo... we both have to wait to see what we have interest in... =]

Good! Try many different things. Take classes. Read books. Travel. Work, try different jobs. Is there something in particular that you love to do? It could be a sport, or a hobby. Is there a class you have taken which made you happy? Find something that you love to do, and do it. The money will follow. It does not have to make anyone else happy (parents, teachers clergy) the only restriction is that you may not harm yourself or others. If you are not having fun you are doing it wrong!

No one is. We're all just guessing!

Seriously, if you are not in college yet, you don't really have to know. Get a broad-based education and study hard in all subjects, go to a big university that has a lot of choices of major, and take a lot of different kinds of classes. Within a year or two, something will stand out for you and you'll find the decision much easier.

Just go for what you like to do most, right now.
ex: do you like to draw, an art career would be nice.
What kind of shows do you like to watch on T.V. this could be a hint as too what you might like.
Take an aptitude test, if we excel in something, we usually like that subject as a future career.
I know i never knew what I would have liked to do when I was your age either. Unfortunately, the careers I would have like to follow, did not exist then. So I missed the boat! Just follow your heart , the money will follow.

What do you like to do? Pursue something you enjoy doing, and will want to do everyday. That will be the best job. Many people out there work at jobs they hate just to get the paycheck. You will not be guaranteed happiness.

Good luck.

you don't have to pick right now give yourself time to grow and when you go to college you can take different classes then decide what you wanna do with your life. You can always change what you wanna do if it doesn't suit you.

Me either but, you probably have a better idea than I (or anyone else for that matter) do. Just choose something you like to do and are passionate about.

If you say you want to be a noun when you grow up, it's all you'll be.
A noun. Waiter, Actress, whatever.
If you say you want to be an adjective, you will be.
I want to be; happy. Wealthy. Helpful.
