Okay, this works for me, it's Garnier Fructis curling gel, all you do is wash your hair, towel dry a little bit, then spray it on your hair after you part the hair in two (like if you want to have a side part on your head and such). I reccommend spraying the gel into your hand so you can put it wherever, cause the nozzle will make the gel go everywhere else but your hair. Then, scrunch your hair, mess your hair, just run your hands through it a few times and shake your head, and blow dry A BIT to dry the gel in your wet hair, making it curl. This doesn't matter, but I have naturally curly hair, and it makes it look even better, and my sis used it too, and she has naturally straight hair, so it should work for you. Good luck!!!

Generally, a gel, spray or mist-type gel product works best for finger sculpting. To achieve this look, simply spray gel all over head, or work a regular gel evenly throughout hair. Lift curls at the base and continue lifting as the hair dries. Lifting is important because the moisture in the hair can weigh it down. What you are trying to do is lift the curl formation closer to the roots which achieves that "scrunched" look. Try Beyond the Zone The Scruncher.

Matrix makes a curl enhancer. I think it's called curl-up, not sure.
