The splits are simply streching each day til you achieve the splits. Now since the truth is you probably like this girl, I would just asked her out- don't look like a wierdo asking strange questions.

find a girl who takes gymnastics. make sure she is a friendly girl. don't go up to girls randomly and ask them. then ask her when know one is around or tell her you want to ask a question privately. be aware she probably will tell her friends.
a better idea is to join a gym class!
