Monosodium Glutamate, what is it really? My mom teaches me how to cook, and we use MSG in just about everything. She tells me that it helps the flavoring; to give it more "taste." I don't really have much choice but to eat the food.
I've read other bullitens/questions about people complaining about how MSG makes them sick. I'm not trying to be sterotypical or anything like that, but is MSG in many Asian foods the reason why some Asians don't live as long? Why does it make some people sick, and others are fine? Is it true that you can get cancer from eating foods containing MSG? Does is make you bones weaken, leading to osteoporosis?

Yeah. I'm not trying to sterotype anyone. I'm Cambodian. I don't get any symtoms from MSG. Is it because I'm used to it? Or could I have had symptons when I was little?
