Well actually Atheists do eventually hurt themselves and everyone around them, now, they are not as bad as gangbangers, I'll agree with that, and there are athiests who are pretty good people too, but the worst thing you could do, is not tell anyone of the love of Jesus Christ, and that is exactly what athiests do.

Christians are not supposed to judge other people. That is up to God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit when we die. We are supposed to love our enemies.
I have a brother who was an athiest. Due to the archeological evidenve that is being discovered it appears that my brother has changed his tune. Science has proven that certain events in the Bible did occur. Biblical scholars are finding more and more hard, physical evidence that events in the Bible were true; both Old and New Testament.
You certainly have a right to your own opinion and I am able to respect that. The argument you posed in your question will only be honestly answered when you die.
Another thought also occured. Who ever said that the gangbangers are NOT athiest? Why are you automatically placing "gangbangers" into a Christian category? What makes you think this, I wonder, besides the fact that human beings like to dichotomize their worlds in order to make sense of what is around them. Stereotyping...maybe? I do not like it when others stereotype the "group" of people to which I supposedly belong...blind.
Do some more reading on the subject from BOTH points of views BEFORE coming up with an answer to your own question. It kind of sounds like you are taking up one side of the argument before looking at the same situation from the other side also. Walk in someone else's shoes for a mile....

The devil also "believes" that there is a God but does he listen to him or follow his ways? NO! A true worshiper of God will not disobey his laws.
Here is some proof that there is a God:
You have a conscience, do you not? so you know that there is a difference between wrong and right
When you see a painting how do you know that there was a painter? When you see a building how do you know that there was a builder? The painting is proof that there once was a painter just like creation proves that there was a creator.
Even Charles Darwin, one of the most intelligent men and the man who invented the theory of evolution said that the human eye would not be caused by accident or natural selection, that there had to be a creator. Your eye can do in one second more than the most sophisticated computer can do.
In order for me to say that there is no gold in China, i have to know and see EVERYTHING and EVERYONE about China, i have to look behind every rock and look inside every person's mouth to check that there is no gold. But for me to say that there is gold in China i just have to find ONE piece. Just like for you to say there is no God you have to know EVERYTHING about EVERYONE and EVERYTHING. is it possible that you havent' encountered any thing yet in your life that proves there is a God?
And what about a banana, it has ridges exactally like the grip of a human hand and it points towards our mouth. It lays beautifully over the human hand and you say that no one creted this? That it's all just an accident?

Gang bangers are not believers, are they? If they were, they wouldn't be "gang bangers"....
Some atheists are very intelligent, reasonable people, who really wouldn't hurt a soul, but then, there are others.......
So, there is really no absolutely true answer to this question, comparing gang bangers to athiests is a false premise.....

To answer your previous question - and no, I'm not answering this way just to please you, or to avoid a scathing remark from you - it's worse to be a gang banger. An atheist hurts only him/herself, while a gang banger hurts him/herself and everyone.

ok in the Bible Jesus says if you deny him, he will deny you before the father. Denial of God is the biggest sin, if you give sins level. however i dont believe there is a difference in levels of sin. u lie is as bad as adultery is as bad as murder. (whoever hates another has commited murder, whoever has looked with lust has commited adultery) : taken from the bible

many people, theists, atheists, agnostics, and everyone in between, don't know the difference between right and wrong. you can't blame it all on one aspect of their lives.
