If you need a "cheap dog" can you afford to take proper care of it? Dogs are expensive to take care of properly. Quality food is not cheap. Vet care is not cheap. What will you do WHEN the dogs gets ill or injured? The dog will need a vet. Will you be able to take it?

The initial cost of an animal pales in comparison to the cost to care for the animal over its lifespan. You need to consider: shots, worming, license, neutering/spaying, grooming, training, food, toys, shelter & accessories (leash/harness/collar etc).
A dog needs a good responsible owner, first and foremost. A dog isn't a toy. It is a living creature that YOU are responsible for. Are you willing to take care of it emotionally, physically and financially for the next 10-15 years?
Perhaps instead of rushing out to grab the first "free" or "cheap" dog you find, you can volunteer to work in an animal shelter. They can always use the help, you can be around tons of animals, and you can learn about proper responsible pet ownership...all at the same time. Plus, you can help make a real difference in the lives of unwanted/abandoned animals.

Try Petfinder. They have a list of all the dogs avaialble through rescues and shelters across North America. There is usually a small adoption fee to cover spay or neutering and routine shots. You can do a search by breed, size etc. for your area.

You can search newspaper ads, look at the shelters, check petfinder.com A dog is a huge responsibility. Do you just want a cute puppy and then when it gets bigger, you willl toss it aside for a new one? Make sure you are responsible enough to own and care for a dog.

no longer common to be sure what u sense is " much less costly ". To me all vets are costly even the main inexpensive ones. Lol. it is extra advantageous to take a Saturday or day whilst u have a pair of hours to spare, and get quote expenses on photographs, tactics, and place of work consultantion expenditures ( gotta love that set $ between consistent with each and every bypass to no remember what ). additionally, seem into well being plans which knock off a pair hundred a 12 months. as properly as PetCo and Petsmart that have vets are available i think of the 1st Saturday of the month or each and every Saturday ( shot are like 10.) community humane societies and different charities help with consultations and vaccination ( much less costly ). purely keep in mind you like high quality as properly as value sufficiency.

You can look into your local paper in the classifieds some say free to good home or dogs for cheap etc... go to your local animal shelter and look to adopt. or go to a local pet store/dog store. your best bet would be the news paper or animal shelter because the pet stores can cost a cupple hundred bucks

Rescues are the best places. Please do some more research other than "I want a dog" different dogs have different personality traits that may not be compatible with your life style. Dogs are not cheap they require the same long term care a child that never leaves home requires

don't get a cheap dog, if a dog is cheap, no matter what kind it is, then it usually means that it is coming from a bad breeder, and there can be many problems with the dog, such as it's training and also health problems, just look for a good breeder

I suggest you go to the local animal shelter and choose a dog from there. I have a beagle, and she is very friendly and intelligent.
